Below is a list of frequently asked questions.

Yes. The restrooms are conveniently located at the end of the parking lot directly between Party Pavilion B and Party Pavilion C. The restrooms are in the large, red building with the white ramp.

Yes as long as they are kept on a 6′ leash. They are not allowed in special event areas at the train station. They are not allowed in Locomotive Loop and Miner’s Meadow during seasonal events.

No. There are no refunds on party sites once rented.

No. There are picnic tables and BBQs throughout Irvine Regional Park; these areas are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Irvine Regional Park also has picnic shelters available for rent and can be booked in-person or by phone at (714) 973-3173.

The party site you rent can be used all day from 8:00 am until the time the park closes. The park’s hours of operation change depending on the season; please confirm the hours prior to your event.

All of the Party Pavilions have the same amenities and are located in the same area. Please see the map on the Party Pavilions page for specific locations.

Irvine Park Railroad requires that a site rental be paid for in full at the time the reservation is made in order to guarantee use of the area. Only when an area is paid for in full is it reserved. Dates may not be changed if it is within 45 days of your original event date as Irvine Park Railroad needs time to re-rent the area.

No. Only the person who rented the party area may add tokens to the tab. This individual is also the only individual who will receive a discount on train tokens.

Once you have selected and set up your event area, come to the train station ticket window or call us at (714) 997-3968 to let Irvine Park Railroad know the location of your event. We will promptly set up the moon bounce in that location.

A Public Property Permit is required for any outside vending company that will be entering the park including catering service vendors and moon bounce, clown, magician, animal show, and other vendors. Yes,  you are welcome to bring in and cook your own food. You are also welcome to bring in food from a restaurant. You only need to obtain a Public Property Permit if the food vendor is coming into the park and is cooking on-site. No. You will be cited and evicted from Irvine Regional Park if you bring in alcohol.

Yes. All decorations must be taken down at the end of the day and your area left clean.

Yes. Parking is $3.00 per vehicle/per entry on weekdays and $5.00 on weekends. There is no re-entry allowed. Irvine Regional Park does not offer parking passes or advance purchases of entry into the park.

Yes, we offer additional rentals when renting a party area. We offer rentals including tables, chairs, dunk tanks, popcorn machines, corn hole, and more. Click here for a full list of party add-on options.

Every event area is outdoors. If it rains on the day of your event, you may reschedule your event to another day (depending on availability).

No. Pools and water slides are not allowed inside of Irvine Regional Park.

No. Food trucks are NOT allowed inside of Irvine Regional Park.

Small party games (potato sack races, etc.) are allowed to be played in party areas. Any other organized team games (baseball, volleyball, horseshoes, water balloons, etc.) cannot be played in party areas.

No. Due to the high volume of traffic in the park on holidays, we do not rent party areas and/or moon bounces in advance on those days until the day of the event. On that day, you may visit the train station to reserve a party area and/or moon bounce.

No. Irvine Regional Park is located in the city of Orange. Party areas rent on a first-come, first-served basis.

You can receive a discount on train rides. A tab will be kept at the train station and final payment is due at the end of your party. Tickets are discounted to $6.00 each (normally $7.00 each).

Easy up tents are allowed; camping tents are not allowed.

No, full payment is required in order to secure your reservation.

No, Irvine Regional Park does not offer pre-paid parking passes. All vehicles must pay as they enter.

Yes, a permit is still required when booking a vendor on the Approved Vendors List. Contact the OC Parks Permit Office at (949) 585-6447 for more information regarding permits. Here is a list of vendors with verified insurance produced by the OC Parks Permit Office.

Yes. We highly recommend scheduling a tour for Locomotive Loop and Miner’s Meadow to avoid interrupting an existing party. Please call our reservations office at (714) 997-3968 ext. 2230 or email reservations@irvineparkrailroad.com.

Vendors that are not permitted in any of our rented party areas include those serving alcohol, waterslides/pools, petting zoos with large animals, DJ’s, or food trucks.
