School Tour Docent

Position Summary

Irvine Park Railroad is hiring school tour docents for our Pumpkin Patch tours. Docents help guide classes of students, teachers, and parents through activities in the Pumpkin Patch. You must be outgoing and able to positively engage with students and teachers. (wage range: $16-$19)

• Starting wage: $16.00 per hour
• Must be available September 30th – October 31st
• Up 25 hours per week
• Monday – Friday, 8am – 1pm (Minimum 2-3 days)
• Eligible for seasonal “Bonus Pay”: $2 per hour

Core Job Responsibilities

• Interacting with students and teachers
• Making field trips fun and engaging
• Coordinate with other team members to stay organized and timely during the tour

Requirements

• Must be comfortable with public speaking and guiding large groups of children
• Must be available for the entire event from September 30th – October 31st
• Able to work on your feet for up to 6 hours
• Must be able to get to and from work
